Prodigal:\u00a0 Going to this castle.\u00a0 I have a friend who is a King.<\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 Well I have a story about a famous King, named David.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 I would like to hear.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

David Jeremiah discusses King David in his book Slaying the Giants In Your Life.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Bible tells us that on the day when David was crowned king, God removed His Spirit from Saul and filled David instead.\u00a0 The new king was mindful of Saul’s great sin and the ugly consequences.\u00a0 Saul had become a soul castaway, and God had finally set him adrift.\u00a0 You can imagine that these things are running through David’s mind as he offers this prayer.\u00a0 Please, Lord.\u00a0 Don’t let me go the way of Saul.\u00a0 Don’t set me adrift!\u00a0 Don’t take You Holy Spirit from me.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Don’t forget the sins of others.\u00a0 At anytime we can be fall into the same pit of sin that others have.\u00a0 We need to daily turn to Christ and focus on him so that we\u00a0 do not even open that possibility of sin.\u00a0 Once we allow sin to come in with a opening.\u00a0 Sin will quickly spread and before we know it has grown to something that we can not possibly handle with out serious consequences.<\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 10:13<\/p>\n

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man.\u00a0 God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.<\/p>\n
