Prodigal:\u00a0 I like these ducks and I thought I would fit right in with them.<\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 Well, you are not a duck, you are a pig.\u00a0 I think it is great that you are a pig!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 Thank you, I thought it was bad to be a pig.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 Let me encourage you about being you Prodigal.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In Chuck Swinoll’s book Start Where You Are it talks about being ourselves.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

One day Chuck was sitting with someone having coffee and the following conversation took place about Chuck.<\/p>\n

“You don’t fit.\u00a0 What’s with you?\u00a0 You’ve got the roots of a fundamentalist, but you don’t sound like it.\u00a0 Your theology is narrow, but you’re not rigid.\u00a0 You take God seriously but laugh like there’s no tomorrow.\u00a0 You have definite convictions, but you aren’t legalistic and demanding.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then he added:\u00a0 “Even though you’re a firm believer in the Bible, you’re still having fun, still enjoying life.\u00a0 You’ve even got some compassion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

God may I always keep my compassion to the children you love!<\/p>\n
