Prodigal:\u00a0 Yep I have just finished my bath.<\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 Did you enjoy bath time with your toys and don’t think I don’t see them.<\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 Yes,\u00a0 haha, we are suppose to enjoy life right?<\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 Yes, we are and I don’t blame you for enjoying bath time.<\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 To change the subject why don’t you tell me a little about serving.<\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 I will share a poem today.<\/p>\n

You know, Lord, how I serve You<\/strong><\/p>\n

With great emotional fervor<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the limelight.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You know how eagerly I speak for You<\/strong><\/p>\n

At a woman’s club.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You know how I effervesce when I promote<\/strong><\/p>\n

A fellowship group.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You know my genuine enthusiasm<\/strong><\/p>\n

At a Bible study.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But how would I react, I wonder<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you pointed to a basin of water<\/strong><\/p>\n

And asked me to wash the calloused feet<\/strong><\/p>\n

Of a bent and wrinkled old woman<\/strong><\/p>\n

Day after day,<\/strong><\/p>\n

Month after month,<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a room where nobody saw<\/strong><\/p>\n

And nobody knew?<\/strong><\/p>\n
