Me:\u00a0 Prodigal, you have yourself in a tight corner!<\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 Yep, I thought I knew the way and now look.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 Well, it is when we come to the end of ourselves that we can maybe finally look in the right direction.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Charles Spurgeon in his book Joy in Christ’s Presence discusses tight corner’s<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Oh, the mercy that comes with utter self-despair!\u00a0 I love to see a soul driven into a tight corner and forced to look to God alone.\u00a0 The end of the creature is the beginning of the Creator.\u00a0 Where the sinner ends, the Savior begins.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I once was lost but now I am found.\u00a0 I once was blind but now I see.\u00a0 Many of you may know those verses in Amazing Grace which is my favorite hymn.\u00a0 Those are my favorite verses in the hymn.\u00a0 See I was in a tight corner driven there by ME.\u00a0 I was leading myself as I was blind and lost.\u00a0 That is how you end up in a tight corner.\u00a0 Then I was forced to look upon God.\u00a0 The result of looking up.<\/p>\n

I am found and now I see.\u00a0 How precious is that sight after being blind!\u00a0 We should never forget our our time of blindness and our time of being lost.\u00a0 For if we do, we forget the joy of our being found!<\/p>\n

to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.’\u00a0 Acts 26:18<\/p>\n
