Me:\u00a0 What happened to the car Prodigal?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 Someone hit while it was in the parking lot.\u00a0 I am waiting for a tow truck.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 Well I will share a story then.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This is from Voices of the Faithful by Beth Moore<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It isn’t unusual for me to travel more than 100 miles across rugged roads in one day.\u00a0 Sometimes we are in areas where there are no roads, just a walking path.\u00a0 It’s a miracle that we don’t have more truck problems than we do.\u00a0 But when a breakdown does happen, it causes quite a stir in our lives.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One day.\u00a0 I was traveling to some smaller villages when the truck broke down.\u00a0 I had a truck full of students, and everyone had his or her own idea on what the problem was.\u00a0\u00a0 Nothing we “fiddled” with seemed to work.\u00a0 That’s when I finally decided it was time to pray.\u00a0 We asked God to help us.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Not more than five minutes later, a man walked out of nowhere.\u00a0 He stopped along the path to see what our problem was.\u00a0 We found out that he was a mechanic from the capital city, Lusaka.\u00a0 I let out a resounding “Praise God!” as he looked at the truck.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As the mechanic worked, I learned more about him and began sharing the gospel.\u00a0 By the time the truck was repaired, our personal mechanic had accepted Jesus into his life.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We piled back in the truck and went on our way.\u00a0 The students kept talking about the breakdown and mentioning how sorry they were about the whole thing.\u00a0 I turned to them and said, “God allowed this to happen so that this mechanic would come to hear about Jesus.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Situations happen all the time–what do we do with them?<\/strong><\/p>\n
