Prodigal:\u00a0 Trying to learn and trying to grow.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 We should never stop trying to grow because we may then become like salt which has lost its flavor.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 Good to remember that today.\u00a0 Any other thoughts you would like to share.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Today I share from the book Abraham One Nomad’s Amazing Journey of Faith by Charles Swindoll<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A divine test usually exposes what might be called our default response to crisis.\u00a0 Everyone has a default response when confronted with a challenge to his or her faith.\u00a0 It starts as a self-preservation reflex.\u00a0 We then learn to cultivate this natural reflex into a strength.\u00a0 In time, we learn to respond to stress with expert agility without even thinking.\u00a0 And before we know it, we have a full-blown coping mechanism that takes over, keeping us from trusting in God.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The divine test that God has given me to expose how I was not trusting in God.\u00a0 I had to take them several times.\u00a0 God knows exactly what to bring into our lives at the right moment.\u00a0 We want to complain.\u00a0 We want to yell at God.\u00a0 We feel entitled and we feel we are being treated unfairly.\u00a0 What God is doing though is turning up the heat in the refiners fire.\u00a0 He is trying to make you to not trust in yourself.\u00a0 He wants you to trust in Him.\u00a0 So go to the alter once again and surrender your plan and cling in trust to God’s plan.<\/p>\n

Psalm 92:1<\/p>\n

It is good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High.<\/p>\n
