Prodigal:\u00a0 Yes, She played Miss Clara in the movie War Room.\u00a0 I got to meet her and was very excited!<\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 What was she like?<\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 She was surprised to be taking a picture with a pig (I’m not sure why).\u00a0 She was nice and seemed to be a Godly woman.<\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 Well I was just reading a story about two other famous men.<\/p>\n

James Montgomery Boice tells this story.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In 1899, two famous men died in America.\u00a0 The one was an unbeliever who had made a career of attacking the Bible and the Christian faith.\u00a0 The other was a Christian leader.\u00a0 Robert Ingersoll, after whom the famous Ingersoll lectures on immortality at Harvard University are named, was the unbeliever.\u00a0 He died suddenly and his death devastated his family.\u00a0 His body was kept in the home for several days because his wife could not bear to part with it; and it was finally removed only because the corpse was decaying and endangering the health of the family.\u00a0 Finally his body was cremated and the scene at the crematorium was so dismal that the national newspapers carried feature stories about it.\u00a0 When death came for Robert Ingersoll, there was no hope..only despair!<\/strong><\/p>\n

In that same year, evangelist Dwight L. Moody died, and his death was triumphant for himself and his family.\u00a0 Moody had been in poor health for some time, and his family had taken turns being with him.\u00a0 On the morning of his death his son, who was standing by the bedside, heard him exclaim, “Earth is receding; heaven is opening; God is calling.”\u00a0 You are dreaming, Father,”\u00a0 the son said.\u00a0 Moody answered, “No, Will, this is no dream.\u00a0 I have been within the gates.\u00a0 I have seen the children’s faces.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

For a while it seemed as if Moody was reviving, but he began to slip away again.\u00a0 He said, “Is this death?\u00a0 This is not bad;\u00a0 there is no valley.\u00a0 This is bliss.\u00a0 This is glorious.”\u00a0 By this time, his daughter was present, and she began to pray for his recovery.\u00a0 He said, “No, no, Emma, don’t pray for that.\u00a0 God is calling.\u00a0 This is my coronation day.\u00a0 I have been looking forward to it.”\u00a0 Shortly after that Mood was received into heaven.\u00a0 At the funeral the family and friends joined in a joyful service.\u00a0 They spoke.\u00a0 They sang hymns.\u00a0 They heard the words proclaimed, “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is they victory?\u00a0 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.\u00a0 But thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”\u00a0 Moody’s death was a part of that victory.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.\u00a0 I implore Eudia and I implore Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord.\u00a0 And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.\u00a0 Rejoice in the Lord always.\u00a0 Again I will say, rejoice!\u00a0\u00a0 Let your gentleness be known to all men.\u00a0 The Lord is at hand.<\/p>\n
