Me:\u00a0 Well I have a story for you from East Asia today.\u00a0 I liked it and wanted to share.<\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 Well, I am all ears!<\/p>\n

It took seven hours on a hot, smoke-filled bus to find the small town hidden deep within the mountains.\u00a0 God’s assignment for us was to prayer walk in this unreached village.<\/strong><\/p>\n

My co-worker and I began the short trek through the winding narrow roads.\u00a0 Believing that God had gone before us, we trusted Him to direct our steps.\u00a0 We turned into an alley while praying and noticed an elderly lady running toward us.\u00a0 She was speaking to us in the local dialect, exclaiming, “You have come!\u00a0 You have come!”\u00a0 Her face was radiant, and her dark, almond-eyes filled with tears.\u00a0 She embraced us and escorted us to her home.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The unadorned shack provided shelter for four family members, chickens, mice and the family treasure–a pig.\u00a0 While sipping on Chinese tea, we learned that this grandmother was indeed a believer in Christ!\u00a0 She had come to know Him two years prior through relationship with a Christian teacher.\u00a0 Since the teacher’s departure, there had been no one to disciple or even fellowship with the grandmother.\u00a0 She had been reading the only portion of Scripture she owned.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For two years she had prayed to the Most High God for a visit from believers.\u00a0 She knew we were the answer to her enduring prayers!\u00a0 All afternoon we prayed, sang, shared Scripture and laughed together.\u00a0 She served us the only thing she had–a piece of watermelon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

God answered the prayers of this believer while answering our prayers that He would guide us.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Faithful God how you work with one group of people and then on the other side you were working with another group of people the whole time.\u00a0 I am glad for the people that have come into my life this week!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.<\/p>\n
