Me:\u00a0 Prodigal you look angry right now!<\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 I am and I have been hurt.\u00a0 I probably need a little bit of encouragement.<\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 I was just reading about anger so I will share what I was reading.<\/p>\n

This comes from the book The Other Side of Love by Gary Chapman<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What then are the Christian’s options?\u00a0 As I see it, there are only two.\u00a0 One is to lovingly confront the person.\u00a0 The other is to consciously decide to over look the matter.\u00a0 Let’s look at the second option first.\u00a0 There are times when the best Christian option is to admit that I have been wronged but to conclude that confronting the person who did the wrong holds little or no redemptive value.\u00a0 Therefore, I choose to accept the wrong and commit the person to God.\u00a0 This is not the same as stuffing or storing your anger.\u00a0 It is quite the opposite.\u00a0 It is releasing the anger to God.\u00a0 It is giving up the right to take revenge, which, according to Scripture, is always God’s prerogative (Romans 12:19), and it is refusing to let what has happened eat away at your own sense of well being.\u00a0 You are making a conscious choice to overlook the offense.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is what the Bible calls forbearance, and it’s turning the matter of justice over to God, knowing that He is totally aware of the situation.\u00a0 Thus, God can do to the individual whatever He judges to be wise.\u00a0 You are choosing not to be an emotional captive to the wrong that was perpetrated against you.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

People what emotions they bring in us.\u00a0 I am talking about the ones\u00a0that are frustrating us, I am not talking about the ones we love.\u00a0 The ones we see on a weekly basis.\u00a0 The ones that challenge us.\u00a0 It might be hard to let go of the control of wanting to release this person to God.\u00a0 It may be difficult to allow God to judge.\u00a0 I know your emotions are strong right now.\u00a0 I know that this is a sensitive subject.\u00a0 I also know that God can really reached this person’s heart.\u00a0 This person can change from acting like a Saul to a Paul.\u00a0 So even if you have to pray all day long, then I think you know at this moment you need to just release them to God.<\/p>\n

Daniel 2:19-23<\/p>\n

Then the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision of the night.\u00a0 Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.\u00a0 Daniel answered and said:\u00a0 “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might.\u00a0 He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings;\u00a0 he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.\u00a0 To you, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for you have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we asked of you, for you have made known to us the king’s matter.”<\/p>\n
