So Prodigal Pig what has been on your mind lately?\u00a0 “Well I am so frustrated people are just bothering me left and write.\u00a0 I go to work and they just are always bothering me about this and that and take no notice of all I have to offer.\u00a0 I talk to friends and they go on and on about themselves but fail to understand that I have all the answers for them.”\u00a0” Why can’t people just listen and follow me”\u00a0 “Also I pray to God to help these people all the time but he just doesn’t\u00a0do anything\u00a0about them.”\u00a0 “Come on God I could use some help here with all these people!\u00a0” They would be the best Christians in the world if they just did what I do on a daily basis.”\u00a0” God make them listen, can’t you see how they need me.”<\/p>\n

Oh Prodigal Pig how these thoughts are mine so often and how my actions have been based on these thoughts.\u00a0 I found a little poem.\u00a0 Prodigal I would love to say I wrote it but I do not know the author.\u00a0 Lets just say it is a little message from God to you.\u00a0 Read the lines, could the first sentence, the\u00a0fifth sentence ring true to who you are or maybe that last sentence is really you Prodigal.<\/p>\n

My name is Pride.<\/p>\n

I am a cheater. I cheat you of your God-given destiny…because you demand your own way.<\/p>\n

I cheat you of contentment…because you “deserve better than this.”<\/p>\n

I cheat you of knowledge…because you already know it all.<\/p>\n

I cheat you of healing…because you’re too full of me to forgive.<\/p>\n

I cheat you of holiness…because you refuse to admit when you’re wrong.<\/p>\n

I cheat you of vision…because you would rather look in the mirror than out a window.<\/p>\n

I cheat you of genuine friendship…because nobody is going to know the real you.<\/p>\n

I cheat you of love…because real romance demands sacrifice.<\/p>\n

I cheat you of greatness in heaven…because you refuse to wash another’s feet on earth.<\/p>\n

I cheat you of God’s glory…because I convince you to seek your own.<\/p>\n

My name is Pride.\u00a0 I am a cheater. You like me because you think I’m always looking out for you. Untrue. I’m looking to make a fool of you. God has so much for you, I admit, but don’t worry… If you stick with me You’ll never know.<\/p>\n
