Today’s book is from Dr. Larry Crabb and is Men & Women Enjoying the Difference<\/p>\n

A good relationship is one in which each person uses his or her resources primarily to promote the other’s well-being and not his or her own, regardless of the cost.\u00a0 Martin Luther put it even more strongly when he wrote:\u00a0 “To love is not to wish good for another person, it is to bear another’s burden; that is, to bear what is painful to you and which you do not bear willingly.”\u00a0 (I presume willingly here means something like naturally.)\u00a0 When we say that God is love, we mean that the three Persons of the Godhead always relate with perfect other-centered energy toward one another and toward their creatures.\u00a0 Good relating is therefore other-centered relating.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Busy, Busy and maybe a little bit more busy.\u00a0 That is what\u00a0 you are feeling right now.\u00a0 Well with that business you forget to focus on loving someone and helping them carry their burden right now.\u00a0 I know you don’t have time.\u00a0 I know you don’t have energy really.\u00a0 So ask God for the extra energy and figure out how to help carry that person’s burden right now.\u00a0 God will allow you the strength to do it all.<\/p>\n

Philippians 4:6-7<\/p>\n

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.\u00a0 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n
