Prodigal:\u00a0 Yes, I was reading the peanuts cartoon and thought I could be like Lucy.<\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 I will share with you what I have been reading about wisdom.<\/p>\n

This comes from the book Living on the Ragged Edge by Charles Swindoll<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Wisdom among other things, is the ability to devise perfect ends and to achieve those ends by the most perfect means.\u00a0 It sees the end from the beginning, so there can be no need to guess or conjecture.\u00a0 Wisdom sees everything in focus, each in proper relation to all, and is thus able to work toward predestined goals with flawless precision.<\/strong><\/p>\n

All God’s acts are done in perfect wisdom, first for His own glory, and then for the highest good of the greatest number for the longest time.\u00a0 And all His acts are as pure as they are wise and pure.\u00a0 Not only could His acts not be better done:\u00a0 a better way to do them could not be imagined.\u00a0 An infinitely wise God must work in a manner not to be improved upon by finite creatures.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Why do we wake up and try to avoid God’s direction then.\u00a0 If we really believe God is full of perfect wisdom then we need to move toward trustful obedience in that direction.<\/p>\n

For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?<\/p>\n
