Prodigal:\u00a0 Yep, I should wait some then.<\/p>\n

This is from the book The Pursuit of God by A.W. Tozer<\/p>\n

Spinoza wrote of the intellectual love of God, and he had a measure of truth there; but the highest love of God is not intellectual, it is spiritual.\u00a0 God is spirit and only the spirit of man can know Him really.\u00a0 In the deep spirit of a man the fire must glow or his love is not the true love of God.\u00a0 The great of the Kingdom have been those who loved God more than others did.\u00a0 We all know who they have been and gladly pay tribute to the depths and sincerity of their devotion.\u00a0 We have to pause for a moment and their names come trooping past us smelling of myrrh and aloes and cassia out of the ivory palaces.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

How do we know if someone loves God?\u00a0 We see it in their life.\u00a0 How do we know when someone loves someone else. We see it.\u00a0 Who has not noticed the newlyweds who are watching each other with a small smile and a peace of knowing and loving.\u00a0 This is evident of anyone is near them and spends a second to observe them.<\/p>\n

Who has seen the couple who has been married for over 20 years that share that small joke between only the two of them that is overflowing with a commitment that has managed to overcome the darkest of valleys.<\/p>\n

We see that and yet when we see people talk of God and worship God the same can be seen.\u00a0 We can see the commitment, we can see the intimacy that comes from answered prayers that was first spoken in tears.\u00a0 We can see that their spirit is different.\u00a0 They are not like others in the world when they talk of this God who saved them.\u00a0 Yes, there is something that is deep in the spirit that is sincere and is different.\u00a0 It is something that you can have, and God freely gives to all who seek!<\/p>\n
