Me:\u00a0 Maybe I should not focus so much on myself.<\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 You do not want to become prideful.<\/p>\n

This is from the book A Man of Grace and Grit:\u00a0 Paul by Charles Swindoll<\/p>\n

We love to promote and independent spirit without ever considering the value of time-forged character.\u00a0 God never promotes like that.\u00a0 God takes His time.\u00a0 When God plans to use us, He puts us through the paces.\u00a0 He allows a certain amount of suffering.\u00a0 God may use the strong, stubborn, independent individualists in the world ,<\/strong> but not long-term.\u00a0 He much prefers the humble, the broken, the bruised, the humble, even the crushed.\u00a0 He works more effectively in the lives of people who’ve learned they can’t make it on their own, especially those who acknowledge they desperately need God and others.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Keep yourself small.\u00a0 Keep yourself as the one who needs Christ the most.\u00a0 You quickly turn to pride and can quickly make decisions without Christ.\u00a0 So remain as one who is desperately dependent on God.<\/p>\n

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.<\/p>\n
