This is from the book Sunrays of Help by Dr. Albert Garner<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This Book contains<\/p>\n

the mind of God,<\/p>\n

the way of salvation,<\/p>\n

the doom of sinners,<\/p>\n

and the happiness of believers.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Its doctrine is holy,<\/p>\n

its precepts are binding,<\/p>\n

its histories are true,<\/p>\n

and its decisions immutable.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Read it to be wise,<\/p>\n

believe it to be safe,<\/p>\n

practice it to be holy.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It contains light to direct you,<\/p>\n

food to support you,<\/p>\n

and comfort to cheer you.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is the traveler’s map,<\/p>\n

the pilgrim’s staff,<\/p>\n

the pilot’s compass,<\/p>\n

the soldier’s sword<\/p>\n

and the Christian’s character.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Here heaven is opened, the gates of hell disclosed.<\/p>\n

Christ is its subject,<\/p>\n

our good its design,<\/p>\n

the glory of God its end.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It should fill the memory,<\/p>\n

rule the heart<\/p>\n

and guide the feet.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Read it slowly,<\/p>\n

frequently, prayerfully.<\/p>\n

It is mine of wealth,<\/p>\n

and a river of pleasure.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is given to you here in this life,<\/p>\n

will be opened at the judgement and<\/p>\n

is established forever.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It involves the highest responsibility,<\/p>\n

will reward the greatest labor,<\/p>\n

and condemns all who trifle with its sacred contents.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n
