Prodigal:\u00a0 It is a warm day today.<\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 That is good for the weather but might not be good for Christians.<\/p>\n

This is from the book Crazy Love by Francis Chan<\/p>\n

LUKEWARM PEOPLE gauge their morality or “goodness” by comparing themselves to the secular world.\u00a0 They feel satisfied that while they aren’t a hard-core for Jesus as so-and-so, they are no where as horrible as the guy down the street.<\/p>\n

“The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself:\u00a0 “God, I thank you that I am not like other men–robbers, evildoers, adulterers–or even like this tax collector.\u00a0 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get”\u00a0 (Luke 18:11-12).<\/p>\n

This is such a trap for us to think that we can coast on spirituality.\u00a0 We think we have done good for one day.\u00a0 We make this mistake, and feel we are better than others.\u00a0 It is always best to view us in the eyes of how the Lord sees us.\u00a0 He sees us as sinners.\u00a0 He loves us, and died for us on the cross.\u00a0 We all need Jesus.\u00a0 We all need Him everyday.\u00a0 It doesn’t matter if others have put you on a pedal stool.\u00a0 Don’t let that pedal stool turn to a life of pride.\u00a0 Instead look up and see how you are viewed with Jesus up above.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Behold the fowls of the air:\u00a0 for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.\u00a0 Are ye not much better than they?<\/p>\n
