Me:\u00a0 Howdy, Prodigal!\u00a0 Who is your friend?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 He is my friend, Baker.\u00a0 We have been talking about all that is going on.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Me: Has it been helpful?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 I hope so, we have been talking about sin.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 I was just reading about sin in a book from David Jeremiah called Slaying the Giants in Your Life.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

David talks about sin and then confession.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Confession is all about naked honesty before God or before fellow Christians.\u00a0 It means describing our actions with the same words God uses, and no dissembling or distortion.\u00a0 Confession will not allow us to foolishly hide, as Adam and Eve did in the Garden;\u00a0 it will force us to change from the inside out.\u00a0 “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart-these, O God, You will not despise” (Psalm 51:17).\u00a0 David knew what it meant for his actions to be despised by God.\u00a0 The act of confession was intensely painful and thoroughly liberating.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We all sin.\u00a0 I sin. I am not perfect.\u00a0 Sin can be tricky.\u00a0 Sometimes only the closes ones to us can see that we have sinned.\u00a0 We can fool a lot of people at times.\u00a0 We cannot fool God.\u00a0 We cannot fool those that love us.<\/p>\n

This is tough for me to write this.\u00a0 I don’t want to come across as someone on this\u00a0throne that is\u00a0judging others.\u00a0 Honestly I don’t feel I even have to right to say anything about sin.<\/p>\n

How many times have I made the wrong choice.\u00a0 A thousand it seems.<\/p>\n

How many times have I said the wrong thing.\u00a0 A thousand it seems.<\/p>\n

How many times has Jesus forgiven me.\u00a0 All the time, because he shows me a love I don’t deserve.<\/p>\n

So how in the world could I not forgive wrong words?\u00a0 I am not a better person then you.\u00a0 I can’t point a finger and condemn.\u00a0 I can only give grace, because I understand.<\/p>\n

Romans 1:5<\/p>\n

Through Him and for His name’s sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith.<\/p>\n
