A mysterious Catholic priest showed up to the site of a car crash<\/a> in Missouri on Sunday, with witnesses saying he offered a blessing before disappearing just as quickly as he arrived.
\nBut those at the site of the crash, including a number of rescue workers, are now at a loss after realizing no one knows the identity of the mysterious holy man<\/a> who does not appear in any of the nearly 70 photographs taken at the scene of the accident.<\/p>\n

“I think it’s a miracle,” Raymond Reed, fire chief of New London, told USA Today. “I would say whether it was an angel that was sent to us in the form of a priest or a priest that became our angel, I don’t know. Either way, I’m good with it.”<\/p>\n

Reed and other rescue workers spent 45 minutes attempting to remove 19-year-old college student Katie Lentz from the wreckage, to no avail. While Lentz was conscious and communicating with authorities, they said her vital signs were quickly dropping.<\/p>\n

Rescue workers were left with little choice other than to turn the flipped car over. But such a move posed a potentially life-threatening injury to the young woman, who subsequently asked for someone to pray with her.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s when the mysterious priest reportedly appeared, saying \u201cI will,\u201d praying with Lentz and some of the rescue workers and sprinkling the young woman with oil.<\/p>\n

Reed and his team then turned the car over and freed Lentz, who was taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital.<\/p>\n

But when Reed and other emergency workers tried to find the priest to thank him, he had already left the scene.<\/p>\n

“We all go back to thank this priest and he’s gone,” Reed said.<\/p>\n

This is interesting because some people are calling him an angel and others say he was just a man who\u00a0showed up\u00a0on a crash site that was closed off on both sides for at least a quarter of a mile. Also 70 photos of the site did not capture one picture of this man, seem odd to you?<\/p>\n

Why is everyone so interested in this story?\u00a0 It gives us a visual of God.\u00a0 What we believe in God, and who we think God maybe\u00a0is very abstract a lot of times.\u00a0 We can feel his presence, see his work in others, but to get a clear picture of God is often lost.\u00a0 I believe we crave the visual and the proof that God exist.\u00a0 Especially during those hard times in life when we are discouraged in our own prayer life.\u00a0 Especially when we don’t understand where God is taking us and how long we have to wait<\/strong>.<\/em>\u00a0 We\u00a0 don’t know if this man was indeed a person\u00a0or really an angel.\u00a0 I know that angels are out there even if this guy was only a man!\u00a0 What ever the case may be, we know he was doing Gods work and a reminder to us. On this day and at this very moment,\u00a0God can show himself to us at anytime and change the normal to something extraordinary!<\/p>\n
