Gills, M.D.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Martin Luther declared:  Either sin is with you, lying on your shoulders, or it is lying on Christ, the Lamb of God.  Now if it is lying on your back, you are lost; but if it is resting on Christ, you are free, and you will be saved.  Now choose what you want.&#8221;  Those who do not &#8220;choose&#8221; to receive the imputation of Christ&#8217;s righteousness by faith in Him alone find themselves &#8220;trying harder&#8221; to live a Christian life&#8211;and failing miserably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are not meant to try and be perfect.  Christ is already perfect for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Psalms 91:1-2<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
