Me:\u00a0 Well, I have to agree with that.\u00a0 I know you are southern Prodigal, but the story today is about another group of people called the Jews.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 Tell me a little bit about them.\u00a0 Why is everybody so interested in this group of people?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land (Ezekiel 36:24)<\/strong><\/p>\n

To comprehend what an incredible act of God it is to preserve the beleaguered Jews throughout history and then return them to their land, consider this observation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You cannot find the ancient neighbors of the Jews anywhere.\u00a0 Have you ever met a Moabite?\u00a0 Do you know any Hittites?\u00a0 Are there any tours to visit the Ammonites?\u00a0 Can you find the postal code of a single Edomite? No!\u00a0 These ancient people disappeared from history and from the face of the earth.\u00a0 Yet the Jews, just as God promised, returned to their land.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While the complete fulfillment is yet to come, the return of the Jews to Israel in 1948 was an astounding event unprecedented in world history.\u00a0 Never had a decimated ancient people managed to retain their individual identity through almost twenty centuries and reestablish their nation in their\u00a0original homeland.\u00a0 The event was specifically prophesied, and it happened exactly as foretold.\u00a0 It was clearly a miraculous act of God.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prophesy is true.\u00a0 God made the earth and all that is in it.\u00a0 He also knows the future.\u00a0 It is amazing how he shares bits of information for us thousands of years in advanced.\u00a0 I don’t understand all of the book of Revelation and what it all means but I do understand this.\u00a0 Jesus is coming back.<\/p>\n

Will he know you when he does?<\/p>\n

Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.\u00a0 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.\u00a0 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.\u00a0 But understand this:\u00a0 if the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.\u00a0 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him<\/p>\n
