Me:\u00a0 Prodigal the Sailor, that could work!\u00a0 Before you go looking for your treasure on the open seas, it is possible you could find treasure here.<\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 Please tell me where!<\/p>\n

Ravi Zacharias talks about a treasure we should be seeking in his book Jesus Among Other gods.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is possible to hold a treasure in your hand but be ignorant of it and go for the wrapping instead.\u00a0 This proximity to truth and distance from its worth is repeated innumerable times in our lives.\u00a0 In Chesterton’s words, we hold the dust and let the gold go free.<\/strong><\/p>\n

No one saw this tragedy lived out more than Jesus did.\u00a0 The masses came to Him frequently and left embracing lesser things while forfeiting the real treasure He was offering them.\u00a0 He often expressed surprise at their shallowness in being unable to look beyond the surface.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Look beyond the surface takes seeing with the eyes of Jesus.\u00a0 I am guilty of it.\u00a0 Quickly making a judgment from just a couple of points I see on the surface.\u00a0 Not taking the time to look forward.\u00a0 Not taking the time to see the treasure.<\/p>\n

I know this, Jesus has given you a treasure within your grasp.\u00a0 There is also wrapping available.\u00a0 The wrapping is catchy to the eye\u00a0but seek the treasure instead.\u00a0 Treasure is lasting.\u00a0 Treasure is what Jesus gave you.\u00a0 All other fancy wrappings will get old and end up in the garbage.\u00a0 Trust God and take the treasure instead.<\/p>\n

I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel<\/p>\n
