Prodigal:\u00a0 I am just looking at some of the other countries in the world and wonder what is going on in those countries.<\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0 I can tell you about a story of a man that is from Egypt and was born and raised there as a Muslim.<\/p>\n

Prodigal:\u00a0 Sure that sounds interesting.<\/p>\n

This is part of his story that he told in his book Freedom Fighter<\/p>\n

“Tell us the names of the other Christians!”\u00a0 the prison guards demanded.\u00a0 At that point we were about 24,000 strong-worshiping our Savior under the cover of darkness, in the shadows so not to endanger each other.\u00a0 Our faith in Jesus as the Son of God brought us strength and courage to endure daily humiliations and even persecution.\u00a0 That faith is what kept me sane and strong during the seven days of torture and abuse-that faith and God’s miraculous kindness in letting me know that I was not alone, and that He would be with me even in the midst of all manner of physical and psychological abuse.\u00a0 When the officer unleashed three vicious attack dogs on me in my tiny cell on day three, I looked up, stunned to find all three dogs seated around me as if they were trying to tell me that God had ordered them not to hurt me.\u00a0 Disgusted, the officer came back with three other dogs but these three took up the exact same positions except that one of them leaned over and licked my face.\u00a0 What a source of strength that small incident was for the days to follow.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

God is present.\u00a0 Let Him be your source of strength.\u00a0 He has not left you alone in the darkness.<\/p>\n

“For His eyes are upon the ways of a man, And He sees all his steps.\u00a0 “There is no darkness or deep shadow Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.<\/p>\n
