Prodigal: The game is almost done!
Me: That is true
This is from Spiritual Leadership by J. Oswald Sanders
Toward the end of his life, A.B. Simpson was at a great convention when a respected New York minister observed that there was no one similarly qualified to continue leadership of the organization when Simpson’s tenure was done. The minister suggested that a large endowment be established to ensure that the work continue. Simpson said nothing and did nothing. He believed that if his work was from God, nothing could dismantle it; if it were not from God, no good purpose was served by keeping it going.
This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 1 Timothy 3:1 (KJV)
